George Bryan closes the venue question
The clearest confirmation arrived in the August 6 edition of George Bryan's Bryan Brief. Bryan wrote from what he called “YGT week” at Rams Hill and identified the course as the site of Stop 2. That first-person account resolves the question that had remained open since late July: the second team event was not abandoned, but the venue changed.
Bryan also gave a direct explanation. The move was about logistics. He described the challenge of coordinating roughly 20 players and 50 production staff while finding a course willing to provide long blocks of exclusive access. Unlike an established professional circuit planning years in advance, YGT was working only months ahead. In that setting, the Dominican Republic plan became impractical and Rams Hill could accommodate the production on a tight schedule.
That account matters because it comes from a YGT captain involved in the event, not from a commentary channel interpreting travel clues. It confirms both the location and the operational reason for the change while leaving the competitive details protected until the episodes are released.
What the earlier rumor got right—and wrong
Infinite18's July 28 rumor audit separated three claims that had been bundled together online: Teeth of the Dog would not host Stop 2, the event could move to California, and Omni La Costa might be the replacement. The first two proved directionally correct. The third did not.
Rams Hill is in Borrego Springs, an isolated desert community east of San Diego. It is not Omni La Costa, and the confirmed relocation does not support claims that Event 2 or the wider YGT season was cancelled. The responsible update is narrower: YGT kept the event, changed the course, and conducted its Stop 2 production week at Rams Hill.
This is also why the source matters. A temporary social story or creator travel post can be suggestive, but it is easy to misread and difficult to preserve. Bryan's published newsletter supplies a permanent first-party record with the venue, timing, and explanation in one place.
Why Rams Hill changes the look of Stop 2
The original route would have taken YGT from the rolling Alabama landscape at Pursell Farms to a Caribbean resort course beside the sea. Rams Hill creates a completely different visual and competitive setting: desert fairways, exposed mountain backdrops, firm-looking surrounds, and extreme summer heat. Bryan described the course as beautiful, remote, and brutally hot.
That environmental shift may become part of the episode's story, but viewers should wait for the published golf before drawing conclusions about scoring or format. YGT has not released official pairings, wildcard selections, hole-by-hole scores, team totals, or a winner. The money list therefore remains unchanged: Team Brad leads with $250,000 after winning Pursell Farms, followed by Team Wesley at $175,000, Team Grant at $50,000, and Team George at $25,000.
The four drafted core teams are also unchanged unless YGT says otherwise. Under the announced season structure, each captain brings a new event-specific wildcard into the lineup at the turn. Those Stop 2 wildcards are one of the most important unresolved pieces because the additions can change both the back-nine lineup and the matchups that follow.
What remains unannounced
Confirmation of the filming location is not the same as a release schedule. As of this report, the official Your Golf Tour website still presents the July 6 Pursell Farms finale as its latest video and continues to show Teeth of the Dog in the season rota. Its schedule page has not posted Rams Hill dates or a Stop 2 video rollout.
No confirmed public source currently supplies the titles, host-channel order, runtime, release dates, wildcards, scores, finalists, or winner for Rams Hill. Infinite18 will not fill those gaps with guesses based on the Monday-Thursday-Monday pattern used for Pursell Farms. Editing and distribution plans can change, especially for a production of this size.
The next decisive update should be an official trailer, upload, or dated release announcement from YGT, Grant Horvat, Bryan Bros Golf, or another participating creator. Once an episode is public, the YGT watch order, standings, and Rams Hill event tracker can be updated from the golf shown on screen rather than pre-release speculation.
What the move says about YGT's first season
YGT's promise is ambitious: four captain-led teams, event-specific wildcards, multi-channel episodes, a season money list, and an individual championship at Wynn Las Vegas. The same structure that makes the series feel larger than a normal creator collaboration also makes it harder to schedule. Courses must accommodate competitive golf and a sizable filming operation, while players and production staff must travel together.
Bryan's explanation is a useful look at that tradeoff. A young tour does not yet have the calendar leverage of a legacy circuit, so flexibility becomes part of its operating model. Moving from an internationally known resort to a remote California course looks like a major change on a published rota, but the reason is practical: find a venue that can give the production enough space and time to make the event.
The important distinction is between operational turbulence and competitive failure. A venue change is real news and should be documented. It is not evidence, by itself, that the tour is collapsing. Stop 2 went forward at Rams Hill; the unanswered questions concern when viewers will see it and what happened inside the ropes.
